How it Works
Step 1: Consultation
At our first meeting, we will discuss what you're looking for and provide education on jewelry history, diamonds, and gemstones to help you narrow your search. Please bring any photos of pieces you like. If you're buying for someone else, see if you can gather any photos from her Pinterest or Instagram.
Step 2: Selection
The big advantage of buying with us is our network and knowledge. We have a global network of antique jewelers and wholesale stone dealers. This allows us to find exactly what you want and keep the cost down as we aren't a typical jewelry store with lots of expensive inventory and overhead. When it comes to our expertise, we have many years of experience specializing in antique jewelry. Jewelry history is a huge passion of ours, so stop us if we get caught up in an impromptu history lesson!
When it comes to antique rings, each piece is completely unique. We will present you a selection of rings that meet your criteria. Often, your selection will include mountings without a stone. Due to the long lives of these pieces, frequently stones have been removed. If you fall in love with a mounting, we will then discuss your diamond/gemstone preferences and have you come in for another appointment once we have stones for you to choose from. Once you are happy with everything, our jeweler will carefully assemble your ring and do any resizing or necessary repairs.
Step 3: Pick Up & Happily Ever After
If applicable, your purchase will include independent laboratory certification of your stones. For diamonds, we only use GIA. For gemstones, we typically use AGL or GIA.
